A unique day in life, needs a unique location. Jiweni Kamba, the old Kipili Church, is a BEAUTIFUL location for your wedding. We can arrange small, intimate weddings for up to 24 x adults and 22 x children.

Jiweni Kamba - the Old Kipili Mission Church

The Church was built by the French White Fathers at the end of the 1800’s and is one of the oldest churches in Tanzania. It stands on the hill behind Lake Shore Lodge looking down onto Lake Tanganyika and the nearby islands. You will also see two other ruined buildings, one to the left and another to the right of the Monastery. This was where the White fathers and the White Sisters lived, with the church in the middle. Rumor has it that there used to be an escape route from the Monastery to the Lake.

Accommodation

Lake Shore can accommodate 24 x adults and 22 x children sharing with their parents. We have one Honeymoon Suite for the bride and groom, three Luxury Chalets for the Parents and Bridal Party and eight Bandas for your Guests.

Activities

This is a perfect place for activities, both on, under and off the water. Kayaking, diving, snorkelling, sunset cruises, quad biking, mountain biking, massages and jacuzzis.
