Join professional dive master & instructor Chris Horsfall to get your scuba diving certificate and discover the underwater world of the longest lake in the world. Chris is a diver for many years and the most experienced diver on the whole of Lake Tanganyika. Don`t be a rookie, become a diver!

Dive Courses

NAUI Tandem Scuba Diver Course (minimum age 10 years)

A short, non certifiable course introducing you to the wonderful world of scuba diving. This course comprises 2 hours of dive theory and then a dive not deeper than 12m, one-on-one, with the instructor, in shallow, confined lake water.

Cost is $150.00 per person

NAUI Open Water Scuba Diver Course E-Learning (minimum age 10 years)

A 3-day course where you will learn the fundamental knowledge and skills to safely dive in open water. On this course you will learn about modern diving equipment, diving sciences, diving practices and the environment. Do your E-learning at home and then when you are at Lake Shore:

  • Day 1 - Assessment of E-learning knowledge and training to learn basic scuba skills

  • Day 2 - Boat trip with 2 x open water dives

  • Day 3 - Boat trip with 2 x open water dives

3-day course $450.00 (plus payment for E-Learning of $50 which includes an e-manual and digital certification from NAUI)

NAUI Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver Course E-Learning (minimum age 15 years)

This is a 3 and a half-day course for Open Water Scuba qualified divers who wish to further their education. After completing this course you will be qualified to dive up to a depth of 40m. Do your E-learning at home, then when you are at Lake Shore:

  • Day 1 - Half day of paperwork and diver assessment

  • Day 2 - Boat trip with 2 x speciality dives

  • Day 3 - Boat trip with 1 x speciality dive

  • Day 4 - Boat trip with 2 x speciality dives

First you will complete the below required dives for the course: Navigation dive (required) | Night or low-visibility dive (required) | Deep dive (required). After performing the three required dives, the student can choose any two of the following elected speciality dives to complete the course:

  • Altitude diving

  • Fresh water diving

  • Boat diving

  • Search and recovery

  • Cichlid identification

4-day course $500.00 (plus payment for E-Learning of $50 which includes an e-manual and digital certification from NAUI)
